Assistant Director of Development 

Primary Purpose and Function:  The Assistant Director of Development is responsible for supporting all fund raising activities, including the ongoing Capital Campaign, Annual Strong Kids Campaign, Golf Outing, Gala, Grant Writing, and the United Way.

Reports to: Director of Development

General Duties and Responsibilities:  Provides secondary support to the Director of Development for all fund raising activities including the Capital Campaign, Golf Outing and Gala · Manages the Annual Strong Kids Campaign, including volunteer recruitment, donor recognition, and written appeals · Manages United Way activities including annual allocation process, employee campaign and additional grant opportunities · Writes and researches grants for Capital Campaign, Annual Strong Kids Campaign as well as program support · Maintains a donor data base, conducts donor research and manages donor recognition · Produces reports and statistics as required to support board members and other volunteers · Recruits & trains volunteers from the membership & community necessary to support fund campaigns & programs

Minimum Requirements: 1-3 years of successful fund raising experience for a non-profit organization. · A high level of proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and The Raiser's Edge · Excellent telephone, written and oral communication skills · Ability to organize and prioritize in a fast-paced environment · B.A. or B.S. degree required

Start Date: Immediate Salary Range: (Starting salary depends upon experience)

Location: 50 East Putnam Avenue, Greenwich, CT
