Family YMCA Welcomes New Development Director January 24, 2007... The Greenwich Family YMCA welcomed Kathryn Davids as its new Development Director. Davids has more than 10 years of experience in fund development with proven success with corporations, individuals and volunteers.
"Kathryn is a high energy, results-oriented professional who can successfully lead our capital campaign," said John Eikrem, the YMCA's President and CEO. "She will be an excellent addition to the YMCA team," Eikrem said. Davids will be responsible for the YMCA's capital and annual campaigns as well as annual fundraising events such as the golf outing and gala. She will supervise two staff members.
Davids joins the Greenwich Family YMCA after serving as the Organizational Director for the New York-based Arthritis Foundation where she headed an annual golf tournament and gala as well as annual fundraising campaigns, grants and major gifts. Before that, Davids was the Manager of Special Events, Fundraising and Marketing for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation; also in New York. Davids has also worked at Columbia Law School and The ProEmp Journal, a monthly business trade publication. Most recently, she did consulting work on several fundraising, development and public relations projects in the arts and the health non-profit sectors. She graduated cum laude from the American University in Washington, DC with a B.A. in Theatre Arts as well as graduate studies in Communications and Philanthropy from New York University in New York.
