Greenwich, CT-May 18, 2007… The Greenwich Family YMCA announced Pecora Brothers, a residential and commercial builder and investment company, will be the presenting sponsor of the 13th Annual Golf Event. The event will take place on Monday, September 24, 2007 at Tamarack Country Club in Greenwich.
The event will feature a full day of golf, delicious food and great friends as well as a silent auction and raffle filled with unique items donated by local businesses. Proceeds raised in the event will directly benefit the Capital Campaign for the Greenwich Family Y. The Capital Campaign will fund the expansion and renovation of the Y's 90-year old building. This project includes a 50-meter by 25-yard Olympic-size swimming pool, a new gymnasium (with racquetball and squash courts), a full-day childcare center and a parking garage. In addition, while maintaining the building's historic architecture, the current facility is undergoing a complete renovation and space reallocation to better accommodate existing programs and allow for new initiatives such as youth sports, senior programs, water therapy, gymnastics and programs for children with special needs.
