News & Press :: Prom Chairs for Class of 2008

Greenwich, CT-June 2007…Remember the good old days of prom with ruffled tuxedos, poofy chiffon dresses and all the fun that defined the event? Join us as we capture that nostalgia at YMCA Prom. This gala will be held on January 12, 2008 at the Eastern Greenwich Civic Center. Jim and Ginge Cabrera of Greenwich and Jeff and Cathy Dishner of Old Greenwich will co-chair the event. 

Proceeds from the gala event will literally make dreams come true as it benefits the Greenwich Family YMCA expansion and renovation project. The proposed expansion includes a 50-meter by 25-yard Olympic pool, regulation gymnasium, and state-of-the-art space for 60 more children to enjoy high-quality childcare. Proceeds from the event will allow the YMCA to fulfill its mission to the community - to become a full-service family center addressing the needs of youth, adults, and seniors.
