What:

Earn your PADI Open Water Certification right here at the Y! This course is taught by a Master Instructor using state-of-the-art equipment. The course will provide the knowledge and skills to enjoy recreational diving all over the world. You will be trained in the safe and correct use of SCUBA (Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus) as well as the effect of being in the underwater environment. Class time is divided between instruction in the theory of diving and adapting to the underwater world and learning the skills to dive in a pool. Approximately 18 hours of instruction and qualifies for one college credit through ACE.
